Cathy Vo was a participant in both UCCS and UCDC. She was an intern at the Office of Congresswoman Doris Matsui in Sacramento for UCCS and an intern at the Office of Congressman Salud Carbajal, remotely, for UCDC. She is graduating in June and will be going to law school later this fall!

Adán Chávez currently works for Facebook for Politics and Government Outreach, where he liaises with government officials, community stakeholders, government organizations, campaigns, and political organizations at the local government level in order to build out their presences on Facebook through best practices and understanding new tools. He is an alum of UCDC, where he served as a UC Presidential Public Service Fellow and Robert T. Matsui Congressional Fellow in the Office of Congressman Jimmy Gomez, and a first-generation graduate with double-degrees in Political Science and Spanish Literature from UC San Diego.

MAYA WONG

Maya participated in UCDC Fall 2019. She interned part-time at the Democratic Congressional Campaign as a Campaign Finance Intern, and at Congresswoman Ilhan Omar's office. After graduating, she was able to use her connections and worked at two Asian Pacific Islander organizations as a field organizer and phone banker in Georgia and Philadelphia during the 2020 elections.

Maelee Blancaflor is a Global Cultures senior at the University of California, Irvine, who is currently participating in UCDC's Remote Experience Program as a UC Presidential Public Service Fellow for Spring Quarter 2021. She is interning both at the U.S. Department of State as a VSFS Intern and at Dentons, the world's largest multinational law firm, as a Global Research Assistant.

Carl was a member of UC San Diego's UCDC cohort in Winter 2013 (when President Obama had his second inaugural). He interned with then-U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer, where he later worked until her retirement. He then began working with UC's systemwide federal relations office in the UCDC building, where he currently works on policy issues related to education, immigration, health care, and climate/sustainability.
